Welcome to the Colorado Beef Council!

The Colorado cattle industry has an intriguing and colorful history. For more than 150 years, Colorado’s cattle ranching families have been committed to a tradition of providing consumers with a safe and wholesome food supply while caring for Colorado’s land, water and wildlife resources.

Nearly half of Colorado, with over 31 million acres of land that is farmed or ranched, Colorado is a state that thrives with agriculture. The cattle industry is the number one agricultural commodity with 2.6 million head of cattle that contributes over $16 billion in the total Colorado cash receipts.
